Negligently performed appendectomy at Trust Hospital

We have recently secured compensation for a Claimant who suffered pain and discomfort following a failed appendectomy. Having experienced abdominal pain the Claimant attended her local Trust Hospital. It was decided that the hospital would carry out an exploratory procedure to try and establish the cause of the pain and if necessary remove the Claimant’s appendix. It was decided that the Claimant’s appendix needed to be removed.

Misdiagnosis at Trust Hospital

We have recently secured compensation for a client who suffered additional pain and suffering following the misdiagnosis of a fractured hip. The circumstances were that, following a sporting injury, our client experienced an intense pain in her hip. She was taken to a London Trust Hospital where X-ray images were taken of the hip. Unfortunately, the Trust was unable to diagnosis the fracture and our client was sent away with advice and pain killers.

Council fined £13,000 after child loses two fingertips in playpark gate

A borough council has been hit with a £13,000 fine after a child had two fingertips severed when they were trapped in a playpark gate designed for children under 11 years old. Trafford Magistrates’ Court was told how the two-year-old boy trapped his fingers in an external gate of the children’s play area at Springfield Park in Heywood, which falls under the responsibility of Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council, resulting in the injuries to his left hand.
